This week we have continued out topic on The Elements but have focused more on water.
We explored and experimented with different objects and materials to see which ones would float and sink. We found out that rocks and scissors sink straight away, that cotton wool, chalk, tissue paper sink slowly as it soaks up the water and we found out that a plastic pot , pencil, cube float.
We responded to art of the ocean and painted our own pictures. We had fun bubble painting and made images of different boats using coloured paper. We identified and talked about the water in the world in lakes, oceans, rivers, waterfalls, in taps, in swimming pools, rain etc.
We also carried on testing different designs of aeroplanes from last week because we enjoy it so much!
